Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Verifeon ("the Bot", "we", "us") collects when it verifies members in a Discord server, how that data is used, and the choices available to server owners and members.

1. Data we collect

• Discord identifiers: your Discord user ID, username, and the server(s) you attempt to verify in.
• Verification signals: account creation date, join timestamp, captcha completion result, and IP-derived signals used for VPN/proxy and approximate region detection.
• Server configuration: settings chosen by server admins, such as verified roles, gate channels, account-age thresholds and (Premium) country rules.
• Logs: a record of verification attempts (pass, fail, flagged) kept for the retention period described below, used for moderation and abuse prevention.

We do not read message content, and we do not collect passwords, payment card numbers, or Discord account credentials — Verifeon only ever interacts with Discord through Discord's official Bot API.

2. How we use data

• To run the verification checkpoint (captcha, account-age check, VPN/proxy detection, alt-account linking for Premium servers).
• To detect and prevent spam, raids and abuse across servers using Verifeon.
• To provide server admins with verification logs for their own server only.
• To operate, maintain and improve the Bot and this website.

3. IP address and region data

Verifeon derives an approximate region and VPN/proxy risk score from the IP address used during verification. Raw IP addresses are used only for this check and are not shared with server admins; also only the hashed IP addresses are saved.

4. Data retention

Verification logs are retained for as long as Verifeon remains in a server, or until the server owner requests deletion. If Verifeon is removed from a server, associated logs for that server are deleted within a reasonable period, except where retention is required to prevent abuse across other servers (for example, a flagged alt-account or known raid identity).

5. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared with infrastructure providers (such as hosting and captcha providers) strictly to operate the Service, and may be disclosed if required by law or to protect the safety of Discord communities.

6. Payment data (Premium)

Premium subscription payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. Verifeon does not store your card details; we retain only subscription status (active, cancelled) needed to enable Premium features for your server.

7. Your choices

• Server admins can remove Verifeon at any time, which stops further data collection for that server.
• Members can request the deletion of their verification data by contacting us via buildondiscord.com.
• You can decline to verify, in which case you will not gain access to channels that require verification.

8. Children's privacy

Verifeon is not directed at children under the age required to use Discord under Discord's own Terms of Service, and we do not knowingly collect data from users who do not meet that requirement.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
